5 Fashion Week Jewelry Trends

TrueFacet Holiday Shops Sale

Unfortunately, Fashion Week has drawn to a close. However, that means we can finally round up the best of the jewelry trends from the most fashionable week of the season. Here is a list of 5 of our favorite trends straight off the runway at New York Fashion Week.

1. Bibs and Chokers

J. Crew kept the jewelry fresh and colorful for spring. We loved the bright, floral accent perfect for the bloom of the springtime season. In a start contrast to J. Crew was Pamella Roland. She kept it simple and chic with a thick-banded choker in black. This monochrome effect is great for those who like to avoid the bright colors, but still want to make a statement.

2. Hoop Earrings

Hoop earrings are back! These could be considered statement earrings, but they deserve a category of their own. Rag and Bone went for the classic hoop look in gold. Meanwhile. Derek Lam chose the oversized and wooden-beaded hoops to match their necklace.

3. Asymmetrical Necklaces

These necklaces make a minimalist statement. Jill Stuart and Tory Burch both opted to trade in size and symmetry for a look that’s memorable and understated. We love the asymmetrical look of these two necklaces. The designs are a much-needed update on the classic statement necklace.

4. Earthy Stones

Recently, natural, earthy and rough stones have started to trend. Tory Burch and Michael Kors both combined recent trends with earthy stones for a beautiful effect. Tory Burch used a flat, rock-like stone for a spin on the breastplate necklace. Michael Kors updated the brooch with an earthy-colored, rounded stone.

5. Statement Earrings

The biggest trend of the week was, without question, the statement earrings. It seemed as if every designer had to have their own version of oversized or eye-catching earrings. We loved the modern metal chains worn on the catwalk for Alexander Wang and the simple single earring of the Tibi show.
