EXTENDED WARRANTY
1. This LIMITED WARRANTY is available only to the purchaser of a watch on TrueFacet.com who has also purchased an Extended Warranty from Grand Central Watch on such watch through TrueFacet.com.
2. The Warranty is provided by Grand Central Watch and is not valid for any other service provider.
3. The Warranty is only for the benefit of the TrueFacet purchaser of the watch and may not be assigned or sold in connection with any future transfer, assignment, or resale of the watch.
4. This LIMITED WARRANTY is for two (2) years after the purchase date of the Watch.
5. Grand Central Watch warrants that it will repair the Watch and correct defects and malfunctions from ordinary consumer use of the watch and restore it to normal performance, including labor and parts, subject to the exclusions set forth below.
6. EXCLUSIONS: The Warranty excludes and does not cover:
(a) Physical damage due to abuse, dropping, jarring, scratching, banging, throwing, or stepping on watch, whether intentional, accidental, or negligent, by the purchaser or third parties
(b) Damage due to fires, explosions, floods, hurricanes, tornados, exposure to severe heat or cold, ice, oil, corrosive or hazardous materials, and electronic or magnetic fields
(c) Exposure or immersion in water or moisture in excess of manufacturer’s recommendations
(d) Damage due to theft or missing or lost parts or components
(e) Damages in shipping or transportation of watch or in vehicle accidents
(f) Service or substitution of parts or components by any technician or service provider other than Grand Central Watch
(g) Modifications and/or additions made to the watch by the purchaser or third parties
(h) Changes in color, brightness, or appearance due to age and wear which cannot be restored by ordinary polishing and cleaning
(i) Case part damage to the crystal, crown, bracelet or strap is excluded
7. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SUCH AS LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF INVESTMENT VALUE OR PRICE RELATING TO A MALFUNCTIONING WATCH. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF.
8. THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURER’S OR VENDOR’S WARRANTY AND DOES NOT COVER MERCHANTABILITY, AUTHENTICITY, INFRINGEMENT, DESIGN DEFECTS, STATUS AS “NEW” OR “PRE-OWNED”, TITLE, OWNERSHIP, LIENS AND ENCUMBRANCES OR WARRANTIES, ADVERTISEMENTS OR PROMISES MADE BY A MANUFACTURER OR VENDOR OF A WATCH. Grand Central Watch and TrueFacet are not affiliated with any manufacturer or vendor.
9. This warranty covers only consumer use and does not extend to professional or vocational uses such as aviation, military, police, scientific, engineering, industrial, medical, or healthcare services.
10. This warranty covers only labor and parts to correct the performance of the watch which will then be returned to the watch owner- there is no cash compensation or cash value under this warranty. No refunds, exchanges, or returns are provided by this warranty. This warranty is for the repair of the watch to conform to the manufacturer’s performance standards and does not cover upgrades, enhancements, or installation of additional features or functions.
11. Vintage watches are not guaranteed to be water-resistant and any moisture damage incurred will not be covered by this warranty.
12. Procedure to Request Warranty Service:
(a) The owner of the watch who has purchased an Extended Warranty shall send an email to GCW@truefacet.com notifying Grand Central Watch that such owner will be sending the watch for repairs, with your warranty #, and a description of the problem. You will receive a TrueFacet shipping label to Grand Central Watch, located at 52 Vanderbilt Avenue, Suite 1010, New York, New York 10017. Such notification must be received by Grand Central Watch prior to the expiration of the two (2) year warranty period.
(b) The watch must be shipped to Grand Central Watch on shipping labels supplied by TrueFacet. You must securely pack the watch using bubble wrap, an appropriate box, and protected by shipping tape.
(c) Do not send any personal items, add ons, straps, or the original manufacturer’s box with the watch
(d) Grand Central Watch, upon receipt of your watch, verify the warranty coverage and will examine the watch and report to you on proposed repairs and time estimate, or if exclusions apply.
(e) When the repair is completed, Grand Central Watch will ship the watch back to the owner
(f) The owner may track the progress of repair on the Grand Central Watch customer access.
13. The watch purchaser/owner must have the authority to submit the watch to GCW. GCW will not accept liens and encumbrances or lack of title or authority, by the owner.
14. Informal Dispute Settlement Procedure. Grand Central Watch strives to provide the highest level of service to its warranty customers. In the event, the watch owner is not satisfied with Grand Central Watch’s services or with issues as to exclusion or otherwise, the watch owner should request attention by the General Manager who will discuss and attempt to resolve the issues. If the watch owner is still not satisfied, the watch owner may request to initiate the Information Dispute Settlement Procedure, whereby an independent watch industry expert will be engaged to resolve the issues, which will be communicated to and be binding on Grand Central Watch and the watch owner. Watch owners who have purchased an Extended Warranty are required to utilize this Information Dispute Settlement Procedure and not to initiate litigation or other remedies. There is no cost to the watch owner to utilize this Information Dispute Settlement Procedure.
15. This warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without reference to conflict of law principles.
